Busy
Went to see Work Directions in Borough for the Pathways to Work thing. It seems (as far as I can tell) to be a good thing for me at this particular moment - my advisor seems bright and competent. However I don't think it is suitable for all claimants - they will apparently start coming onto the programme in March and the whole thing presumes that you are capable of work. Some people will be too sick, regardless of the support offered. From now all new claimants will be *forced* to take part.
We've made an action plan and listed barriers to getting back into work. We are meeting again tommorrow morning (9am! swine!) and I have "homework" of find 5 jobs I could apply for. I requested a "kick up the arse" so this is good. They are going to forward me to their psychologists to get a plan for dealing with my lack of routine and sleeping issues..
I went from there to the library at Borough to read through the papers. It was pretty full. Local studies (which is next door) was closed today but is open tomorrow.
I then went to my Tibetan class. I managed to do an hours worth of work on it before I started which helped. We started letters that stack on top of other letters, and have another set of flash cards. The last class is next week, it then starts again at the beginning of January.
The Walworth Road was closed on the way home due to the roadworks. We were told there would be no stops between Elephant and Camberwell Green. With this in mind I walked home.. Zzz..
