I wasn't hugely keen on the pie and mash; it was kinda disappointing. I think I need to try some other pie and mash shops to compare... also I need to try the eels at some point. I should also try Manze's vegetarian pies (they said it would be a 10-minute wait for one of those so I went for normal pie so as not to hold everyone else up).

I like the beer at De Hems (RGL link) but it gets awfully crowded at peak times and it's quite expensive if you want more than one or two drinks.

I could never have afforded De Hems if people hadn't bought me beer.

I did! I haven't sorted them out yet though as I have a bit of a backlog. acme had mash and stewed eels, and took photos which may appear on his Flickr at some point.

Oh, and thanks for letting me know about the curry! I'm having a quiet day in today though.
