Went to see the Open Rights Group yesterday to get my election observer tshirt and pass. I then went to the Ubuntu Hardy release party in a Dutch pub called De Hems off Shaftsbury Avenue. Stayed there until the end and took loads of photos.
Naturally I didn't make my 9am meeting, nor did I make the London.pm pie and mash event. Sorry nou.
I am planning on attending the tube walk tomorrow :) |

I wasn't hugely keen on the pie and mash; it was kinda disappointing. I think I need to try some other pie and mash shops to compare... also I need to try the eels at some point. I should also try Manze's vegetarian pies (they said it would be a 10-minute wait for one of those so I went for normal pie so as not to hold everyone else up). I like the beer at De Hems ( RGL link) but it gets awfully crowded at peak times and it's quite expensive if you want more than one or two drinks. Edited at 2008-04-26 20:33 (UTC)
I could never have afforded De Hems if people hadn't bought me beer.
It looks like their will be curry tomorrow with gllug people if you are interested. 7.30pm for 8pm.

Did you take any photos? I've had pie, mash and liquor but not jellied eels.

I did! I haven't sorted them out yet though as I have a bit of a backlog. acme had mash and stewed eels, and took photos which may appear on his Flickr at some point. Oh, and thanks for letting me know about the curry! I'm having a quiet day in today though. Edited at 2008-04-27 10:39 (UTC)
