Advent 4211 netbook

Laptot finally has Ubuntu Netbook Remix on. My external USB 1 CDRW died whilst I was trying to install from it, and doesn't work on Hardy anyway. uUsing a USB stick caused Hardy to install grub onto the mbr of the usb stick. This meant that neither the stick nor the laptot worked...

I bought an external dvdrw today which was extra cost I didn't need, but my life is much shinier now. I hope I get another job after my last day on Tuesday..

[info]libellum is urgently seeking a temporary internet connection while she's moving flats, and has been asking if anyone has a Vodafone USB Modem that she could borrow. I recall you used to have some kind of Vodafone connection. Do you have a modem she could borrow? She's offering money! :P

I do, but can you vouch for her? How long does she want it for? I pay £30/month for mine and the modem cost me ~£70 ish.
