Advice wanted
I'm considering setting up a specialist linux blog. If I want to use something like wordpress I'll need php and mysql. My ISP's webpages provide neither.

Any recommendations for a suitable provider? How do other people do this?

Thanks.

one solution is to use a blog compiler.

I have a Hostagtor account for family web sites my Sisters etc. I use Hostgator its cheap cheerful and seems to cover everything. Has been very reliable If you need it you can have space on my account its not being used at the moment and I am paying for it. I don't want to cancel my account in case The Big Opt Out needs it for anything or any of my family do. But I have one of their top accounts (because its for anyone, family, friends to use) and unlimited space or so it seems. It just saves hassles to know its there.

I've accounts at Godaddy and Yahoo. Things to mind:
. Look for single-sign on. GoDaddy has a number of free software packages that all need different credentials (and, annoyingly, with different password policies).
. If going offshore - think of support. yahoo has (/claims) 24x7 support but only through 800- phone support - international rates.
